The other day, Joanna and I were looking over our proposed route on the map (see her previous post!). At our regular knit night, we threw ideas out here and there about what we’d like to see on our road trip. Someone asked, “Where are you driving through?” because hey, a list of cities would be a good start to planning out landmarks.
While the route is loosely based on some key locations we’d like to check out, and we know we won’t be able to see everything—we’ve only got two weeks total!—we’d like to know what’s out there, what we should be stopping for: good food, cheap lodging (motels and camping), fun attractions, etc.
So, without further ado, may I present the Two Girls, One Car stops for The Single Tear Tour 2011?

- Athens GA
- Altanta GA
- Birmingham AL
- Memphis TN
- Little Rock AR
- Oklahoma City OK
- Amarillo TX
- Roswell NM
- Albuquerque NM
- Flagstaff AZ
- Las Vegas NV
- Denver CO
- Kansas City KS/MO
- Peoria IL
- Indianapolis IN
- Columbus OH
- Pittsburgh PA
and then home again.
Obviously, we won’t be able to see every awesome sight in these cities, nor will we even be able to hit every city on the list, but it will give us a good idea if we should stop to see giant rubber bands now, or wait 50 miles up the road for the largest yarn ball in the world.
